Fountain Hills High School is an alcohol, tobacco, and drug free campus as per Arizona Revised Statute 36-798.03. This announcement will serve as notice to all that the high school administration has the right to conduct unscheduled searches on the high school campus by use of canines or other means.
Fire Lane – There is no parking in the fire lane before school, after school or during lunch. Parking in the fire lane may lead to a ticket.

Seniors – If anyone is receiving a scholarship from an in-state or out-of –state college, please turn in all scholarships that you have been offered to Jodi in the office so that you can be recognized at Senior Recognition.
Falcon Fiesta – Registration has begun. Cost is $50.00. You can register in the student store. Register early to receive extra falcon bucks.
Homework Hub – Free academic tutoring is every Thursday after school in PC200 from 2:15 – 3:00. Bring whatever work you need help in. PC200 is also open for study hall after school, for those who need a quiet place to work before athletic practice. See you in Homework Hub on Thursdays.
Yearbooks – Yearbooks are on sale for $80.00. If the student wishes to have their names imprinted on the cover, it is an additional $5.00. They may also be purchased online at: jostensyearbooks.com. Order forms are available in the office.

Counselors Office
The American Legion, annually sponsors a program for teens who have an interest in a career in law enforcement. This year, the 7 day program will cost $250.00. If you are interested, please stop by the Counseling Department for a brochure.
The Summer Study programs are being offered at Penn State University, the University of Colorado at Boulder, the University of Vermont and the Sorbonne. You can study for 2 to 6 weeks at one of these universities and earn college credit. Seniors: If you are planning to attend college in the fall, it is now time to complete the FAFSA. The FAFSA is an application for federal student aid. You can log in to fafsa.ed.gov and complete the application. This information will help the federal government determine your eligibility for grants and loans to help you pay for college.
Scholarships
Youth Automobile Safety Scholarship Program for 2011 is offering scholarship opportunities for high school seniors. The deadline is May 13th. Application forms are available online at cseinsurance.com/scholarship.
SCC Scholarship – We are encouraging students to register during the first month of registration – sort of an early bird registration period. Students who register for Fall semester prior to April 30th will be automatically entered into a drawing to win a $250.00 Scholarship.
A Senior Women’s Group is awarding a $750 scholarship to a graduating senior girl that is a resident of Fountain Hills, planning a career in education, nursing or has an economic need. Applications are available in the counseling office and must be RECEIVED by April 25th.

Merck Respiratory is sponsoring the Will to Win Scholarship program where two deserving high school seniors will be awarded $5,000 scholarships.
